Express Groom

Allow 30 minutes

Having a regular brush out will remove dead hair, help prevent matting and keep your dogs' coat in top condition in between each Full Body or Mini Groom.

Puppy Wash & Fluff Dry

Allow 1-2 Hours

Introduce your puppy to the benefits of grooming. A gentle brush through will be followed by a relaxing body wash using Tearless Shampoo for Puppies. This shampoo helps condition and adds lustre to your pets' coat. A warm blowdry will encourage your puppy to relax in the grooming environment to prepare for future appointments.

De-Shedding using the Furminator

Ideal for heavy shedding breeds. This treatment helps reduce the amount your dog sheds, whilst cleansing the hair and skin. The natural oils that coat the fur are not removed, leaving the remaining coat in excellent condition.

Matted Coats

If a pet is presented to us in a severely matted condition, it is our policy to shave the whole coat using clippers with a close blade. Shaving the coat is quicker and gentler on the animal.

We refuse to groom out a matted coat, as this would cause the pet tremendous distress and discomfort. Many animals are traumatised by hours of avoidable painful de-matting, putting them off grooming for life.

We welcome the pets other Groomers turn away!

Large & Giant Breeds

Elderly & Infirm

We believe the large, elderly and infirm pets deserve an enriching and compassionate pampering session.

Our facilities include a wet room, designed for convenience and to enhance the grooming experience for this minority group.

Environment

We do not use drying cabinets or cages for dogs in our grooming parlour.

All dogs are washed and dried by hand in a relaxing and stress free environment. This one to one personal service is appreciated by our clients and why we operate on a strictly appointment only basis.

Your dog will have full access to water, toilet breaks and a rest if necessary during their grooming session.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is derived from the Greek word meaning water healing. It is controlled aquatic exercise in heated sanitised water.

The Hydrotherapy Unit is a highly valued and popular addition to our range of services on offer.

Studies have shown, a quality 5-minute exercise in water, is equivalent to approximately a five-mile walk.

The Process

Hydrotherapy Treatment is carried out by a Registered Veterinary Nurse who qualified with the Nationally Accredited Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy Centre.

Most dogs take well to the treadmill if introduced to it slowly and calmly. Your dog will walk (or be lifted) up the ramp into the tank and the warm water raised to the appropriate level for the specific problem.

The aquatic treadmill is suitable for dogs that are water phobic or who simply prefer to have 4 paws on the ground!

The water level and speed of the treadmill can be altered to provide many therapeutic effects. In addition we may use floats, limb bandages and manual support and muscle facilitation during sessions.
